Have you heard of the Canadian Dental Benefit that launched this year? Well we are here to let you know more about it!
The Benefit is called "The Interim Canada Dental Benefit", This benefit is intended to help people lower dental costs for eligible families. These eligible families would be earning less than $90,000 per year.
If your Child does not have a dental appointment, you should book one soon, as to be eligible for the first benefit period, your child must receive dental care between October 1, 2022 and June 30, 2023.
Though if your child's appointment happens on or after July 1, 2023, they may be eligible for the second benefit period.
Parent's or Guardian's may apply if the child receiving dental care is under 12 years old and does not have access to a private dental insurance plan.
So, therefore, depending on your adjusted family net income, a tax-free payment of $260, $390, or $650 is available for each eligible child. This Benefit is only available for 2 periods! We are a little late reporting this on our clog but we wish to let others know of this benefit.
You Can end up getting a MAXIMUM of 2 payments each for each child that is eligible.
The First benefit period id for children under 12 years old as of December 1, 2022, for those who receive dental care between October 1, 2022 and June 30, 2023.
